Purpose
The Animal Welfare Fund Grants Program was established to support not-for-profit and low-cost vet clinic establish or upgrade their clinics.
Overview
This round forms part of the Victorian Governments $2 million commitment to support not-for-profit and low-cost veterinary clinics.
Round 12 offers the following not-for-profit and low-cost vet clinics grants:
- Grants for veterinary equipment, upgrades and expansions
- Grants are available of up to $50,000 (GST Free) to not-for-profit and community vet clinics wishing to purchase equipment, or upgrade or expand their facility or services, to benefit the welfare of companion animals.
- A maximum of 2 veterinary equipment, upgrades and expansions grant applications will be accepted per organisation.
- Applications must include evidence of not-for-profit status or low-cost service provision.
- Grants to establish new, low-cost veterinary clinics
- Grants are available of up to $200,000 (GST Free) for organisations wishing to establish new, low-cost veterinary clinics in areas of need in Victoria.
- Only one new, low-cost vet clinic application will be accepted per organisation.
Limitations
Who can apply?
Applicants must meet one of the following definitions as described in the ‘Glossary/definitions’ on page 6 of the guidelines:
- community vet clinic
- not-for-profit organisation
- registered veterinary practitioner.
All applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN).
