Purpose

The aim of the Community Grants Scheme is to encourage, develop and support programs, services, facilities and projects that will enhance the quality of life of Campbelltown Council residents and have a focus on health, recreation, social and community development, safety and security, environment, culture and history and are consistent with the goals, objectives and strategies of Council's Strategic Plan.

Overview

Applicants can apply for grants of up to $700 for:

  • Financial: monetary assistance
  • In-kind: Bus use (subject to volunteer driver availability)
  • In-kind: Hall, meeting rooms, oval, park or reserve use for one-off or time-limited projects

Community grants are based on the principles of:

  • Social inclusion: where everyone in the Community can participate, connect and contribute regardless of age, culture or level of ability.
  • Access and Equity: where eligible individuals, community groups and organisations have equal opportunity to access, apply and be considered for the Community Grants Program.
  • Openness and Transparency: where all eligible applications will be fairly assessed by an independent panel and communicated to the Community.

Minor grant applications are open all year around. Applications must be received by Council at least two weeks prior to use of facility or event. Late applications will not be accepted.

Incorporated (or able to be auspiced), non-government, not for profit, charitable community groups, local volunteer-based emergency services and organisations with a focus on community well-being.
