Purpose

Community Grants are provided for projects that support communities to improve the liveability of towns and places, build connections, create opportunities for participation in community and civic life, improve personal and community health and wellbeing, protect natural environment and assist communities to plan for the future.

Overview

Sponsorship provides financial support to eligible individuals, social enterprises, groups and organisations and promotes the role of Council. Sponsorship is a transaction in which Council provides a financial or non-financial contribution for an event, projects, service or activity, in return for agreed promotional benefits.

Individual Sponsorships

Applicants can apply for sponsorship of up to $1000 if they are participating in an official cultural, sporting or recreation event at state, national or international level.

Organisations Sponsorships

Organisations are able to apply for sponsorship of up to $5000 for projects such as:

  • Events
  • Awards
  • Programs 
  • Naming rights (i.e. the Murrindindi Shire Council Grandstand)

Limitations

Individual Sponsorships: Individuals auspiced by a not-for-profit organisation

Sponsorships: Business, social enterprise, not-for-profit community groups and organisations
