Purpose

If you own an electric vehicle (EV), you can apply for funding to buy and install a charger at your residential property or business.

Overview

Through the EV Charger Grants Scheme, you can get grants of up to:

  • $1,000 for a residential property
  • $2,500 for a business.

Applications are now open and will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.

After 6 to 12 months, the scheme will be reviewed and may be amended to achieve the NT Government’s objectives.

Limitations

Who can apply?

You can apply if you meet the scheme's terms and conditions, and you:

  • are an owner of an NT registered EV
  • are a home owner or business owner
  • meet the property requirements relevant to you as a residential or business owner.

Who can't apply?

You can't apply if you're any of the following:

  • public or private school
  • public or private educational institution
  • government agency or government-owned body
  • registered corporation
  • local government.
