Purpose
The Program aims to encourage and assist community involvement in the management of waste minimisation and education for the benefit of the whole region.
Overview
Small waste grants aim to support organisations that are actively assisting in the clean-up of public areas by waiving or reimbursing waste fees. This grant provides up to $500 to cover fees associated with:
- the disposal of general or green waste
- purchasing compost
- reimbursing community groups green bin charges
Applications to this grant are assessed monthly.
Limitations
Eligibility
- Organisations/individuals applying for a grant/donation/scholarship must be based/live in the shire, or have a strong association with the shire
- The program, service or activity must benefit the shire community or individual from the shire
- Organisations must be not-for-profit, including education institutions ( exceptions may apply for certain grants, e.g Business Activator Grant)
- Applications will be accepted from Committees of Council and Crown Reserve Committees
- Applications must have acquitted and met any conditions of pervious Council grants
- All applications must be submitted on time using the current application form.
