Purpose
MinRes is proud to be part of the communities in which we operate in across the Pilbara and Goldfields-Esperance regions and the Shires of Yilgarn, Irwin and Mingenew.
Overview
Eligible community groups are invited to apply for grants up to $10,000 to support health and wellbeing, education, Indigenous engagement and environment initiatives.
Focus areas
MinRes prioritises organisations and projects that support our five focus areas:
- Health and wellbeing: Prioritising physical health and mental wellbeing as keys to building happier and healthier communities.
- Employment and procurement: Building new local pathways for career and business development.
- Education: Growing knowledge and building skills for tomorrow’s big thinkers.
- Aboriginal engagement: Strengthening relationships based on mutual respect and cultural understanding.
- Environment: Promoting conversation and action that supports a more sustainable future.

Limitations
Eligibility
To be eligible for MinRes community grant you must:
- be a registered sporting club, organisation or association
- operate in the Pilbara or Goldfields-Esperance region or within the Shires of Yilgarn, Irwin or Mingenew
- meet the requirements of at least one of MinRes’ areas of focus
- read and confirm compliance with all obligations under our Code of Conduct and Business Integrity
Limitations
We respect the efforts of local organisations in helping to build strong communities, but are unable to support:
- initiatives that cannot demonstrate a direct relevance to our business strategy and areas of focus
- activities considered hazardous, environmentally irresponsible, unethical, illegal, or conflict with MinRes’ values or our Code of Conduct and Business Integrity
- fundraising for individuals
- requests benefitting individuals or families, unless administered through a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation
- requests received less than one month before an event or after an event has occurred
- churches or religious organisations, unless offering broad, non-denominational community services.
Please note: MinRes has full and sole discretion in approving or declining community grant applications. All community investment outcomes will be provided in writing to applicants, with successful applications followed by a Sponsorship Agreement.
