The Tasmanian Government is offering assistance with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement of primary producers that have suffered direct damage as a result of the severe weather event (commencing 26 August 2024).

Overview

The objectives of the Program are to assist primary producers that were impacted by the
event:

  • with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement; and
  • to continue or recommence operations as soon as possible where the impact has been severe.

The Program will contribute to the following outcomes:

  • minimising disruption across the state and assisting communities to recover
  • assist primary producers to continue or re-commence activity; and
  • contribute to the restoration of social and community networks, and the economic recovery of impacted communities.

The maximum grant amount available is $10,000 (GST Exclusive) to eligible primary producers state-wide for the costs associated with eligible activities to undertake clean-up and recovery. An additional amount of $15,000 is available for primary producers in the Derwent Valley and Central Highlands LGAs upon evidence that demonstrates additional expenses have been incurred for clean-up and recovery following the flood event
