Purpose

The eBay Circular Fashion Fund is seeking to support pioneering businesses that are using technology and services to change customer behaviour within the fashion industry.

Overview

eBay’s Circular Fashion Fund, supported by the Australian Fashion Council, is focused on scaling and developing the circular economy by supporting innovation that extends the lifespan of clothing.

Circular fashion means balancing production and consumption by sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, and recycling existing materials and clothing for as long as possible. This way, we reduce waste, the need for production and the demand on primary resources. We want to ensure that there is technology that will aid buyers and sellers to support circular fashion; that's where the Circular Fashion Fund comes in.

Successful applicants will get:

  • A share of $200,000 AUD in funding to grow your business and the opportunity to pitch for an additional $300,000 USD of investment as the global winner
  • Networking opportunities

How it works

  • Applications open on Wednesday, 16th October 2024 and close on Friday, 15th November 2024.
  • We will contact the shortlisted applicants by Wednesday, 27th November 2024.
  • The next process will be to pitch your proposals to a panel of industry experts and eBay leadership on Friday, 6th December 2024.
  • The winners and runners-up from each market will be announced at an in-person event on Wednesday, 12th March 2025.
  • Each market winner will then pitch to members of the eBay leadership team, with the opportunity to secure additional investment, during the week commencing 24th March 2025.
