Purpose
Impact Research Grants will address critical intersections between public and private sectors, and civil society to reduce health inequities in Victoria.
Overview
Proposals will support the research agenda and principles outlined in VicHealth’s Research Impact Plan 2024-2028, providing research that is:
- Empowering
- Bold and innovative
- Dynamic
- Local to global
- Accountable
In addition to prioritising a systems approach, all Impact Research Grants will need to address one of the four research themes below:
- Food Systems Reform: Investigating how sustainable food systems can support health and economic outcomes, particularly in settings like public institutions.
- Urban Planning for Healthier Communities: Developing strategies to increase the impact of urban planning on equity, health, and wellbeing.
- Best Practice Approaches and Responsible Investment: Exploring financial instruments and investments that prioritise public health.
- Best Buys for Social Determinants of Health: Identifying cost-effective policies that address the social determinants of health in Victoria and the Pacific region.
Limitations
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be based in Victoria and affiliated with a Victorian Administering Institution or be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander-led organisation partnered with a Victorian university.
- Meet specific insurance, legal, and financial requirements as outlined in the full Grant Guidelines.
