Purpose
As part of their commitment to customers and service standards, the lifting of the Boil Water Advisory triggers a $10,000 community grant.
Overview
In July 2024, South Gippsland Water issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory after one of their water mains was damaged by an external contractor.
As part of their commitment to customers and service standards, the lifting of the Boil Water Advisory triggers a $10,000 community grant.
The Community Resilience Grant is designed to:
- Support members of the Fish Creek community experiencing vulnerability including those experiencing financial or social disadvantage.
or
- Provide capacity building or preparedness within the Fish Creek community to respond to current or future incidents or emergencies.
Limitations
The grant is open to non-profit, Fish Creek based, community groups or organisations. It will be a once-off grant with a total value of $10,000. It may be a single grant or multiple smaller grants, depending on the applications received and South Gippsland Waters assessment of these.
South Gippsland Water and its Community Advisory Committee will review applications and award the grant. Local Fish Creek community groups are encouraged to apply.
