Purpose
The Hepburn Shire Council’s Community Grants Program will provide $58,000 in 2024/2025 to fund proposals from the community for programs and events that are conducted in Hepburn Shire to the benefit of its residents.
Overview
Community groups and organisations will have the opportunity to apply for Community Grants in three Rounds per year, or until the funding allocation has been exhausted, but a group is only eligible to receive funding once per year. Council has increased the maximum grant request to $5,000 per funding stream.

Limitations
Who can apply
To be eligible for funding, the applicant must:
- Local not-for-profits, sporting clubs and community groups in the Hepburn Shire, which are incorporated with an Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Local groups without an ABN may apply, only if they are auspiced by another organisation that is a legal entity with an ABN and meets the eligibility criteria.
- Only charities that are registered with ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission) are eligible to apply for the Charitable Purposes stream.
