Purpose

The Cardinia Community Foundation Community Grants Program supports applications that are beneficial to the community of the Cardinia Shire region

Overview

The projects should be categorised under one of the following:

  • Health and wellbeing
  • Social cohesion
  • Crisis support
  • Education
  • The environment
  • The Arts
  • Men's Health and Well Being

Limitations

Grants offered to successful applicants are subject to the following conditions:

  • The organisation is a not-for-profit; If the applicant chooses to use a principal organisation to auspice the grant, the principal organisation then receives, holds, and administers the funding to the auspiced group so that the auspiced group can complete the funded project or activities. A letter of approval from the principal organisation needs to be included in the application. This may be used if the principal organisation holds a DGR1 status.
  • Projects will commence within 3 months of the allocation of funds;
  • The Cardinia Community Foundation will be invited to review the project within 6 months of receiving the funds with the expectation to publish a story on the progress of the project.
  • Funds must be acquitted on the project as described in the application, 12 months after receipt of funds. Including financial reporting, evidence and three photographs for marketing purposes;
  • Should projects be delayed, it is a requirement that the recipient organisation agrees a revised acquittal date with The Cardinia Community Foundation
  • Projects will acknowledge the support of The Cardinia Community Foundation Community Grants Program in their project communications, where possible i.e. newsletters, social media, websites;
  • Projects that fail to provide adequate acquittal information may be asked to forfeit funds
