Purpose
This funding can support a variety of projects and activities, purchasing of material or equipment, and environmental initiatives that benefit the community.
Overview
The Community Funding Program is our grant funding initiative that aims to support individuals, groups and organisations. The program provides grassroots groups and associations the opportunity to deliver something positive for the wider community that will contribute to Palmerston being A Place for People.
City of Palmerston actively supports initiatives which benefit the Palmerston community and support delivery of the Community Plan. The CFP provides funding to support community initiatives through the following funding opportunities:
- Grants Sponsorship
- Environment and Sustainability Initiatives
- Representation Support
- Annual School Awards
- Graffiti Removal
Applications are open all year round and are limited to one successful application per individual, business or organisation per financial year.

Limitations
Applicants must:
- Apply in writing and include a completed application form of the appropriate category.
- Include details of the project, event, or materials needed.
- Include details of need of financial or in-kind support.
- Identify how the proposed activity/event/item relates to the goals and strategies in the Community Plan and how it benefits the Palmerston community.
