Purpose
Each year Kestrel offers grants for community initiatives, events and programs up to $5000.
Overview
Kestrel are seeking applications that create meaningful impacts in the local area. Local not for profit and community groups can apply for funding to bring their ideas to life.
To be successful, applications will be assessed on how they fit within the parameters of our core community focus areas - the 4 focus areas are:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Healthy minds, healthy bodies and healthy relationships are key to a healthy community
- Education and Opportunity
- Brighten the opportunities for our locals and encourage life-long learning
- Enhancing Livelihoods
- Create access to a diverse range of support and services and improve the lives of our people
- Environment and sustainability
- Improving our environment and working on sustainability in our community.
Limitations
Whilst they are open to all community groups applying, they will not provide community investment support to organisations that are:
- For profit, without clear community connection.
- Discriminating on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity or lifestyle.
- Based around religious or political activities.
- Involved in advocacy or lobbying.
- Projects or programs that would ordinarily be fully funded.
