Purpose
Shell is proud to support local community groups that help to build strong, thriving societies in the Broome Shire.
Overview
The Communities Fund supports Broome Shire, with a focus on local communities in proximity to Shell’s transit to the Prelude facility.
Financial grants of up to $20,000 are available for community organisations and not-for-profit organisations to deliver community projects in these areas.
The fund focuses on activities that contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- Regional liveability and sustainable communities
- Supporting stronger First Nations
- Education and training
Limitations
To apply, your organisation must satisfy one of the following requirements:
- Be within the specified geographical area
- A community organisation – i.e. an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation providing services within the Broome Shire
- Aboriginal Prescribed Body Corporate or Aboriginal Corporation
Note that only one application per organisation per year will be accepted.
