Purpose
Environmental scholarships support those who live, work or volunteer in Hume to create positive environmental change, by providing financial assistance towards environmental education.
Overview
Courses that will be funded include conservation, land management, or environment and sustainability courses. The scholarship can fund up to 80 per cent of course fees to a maximum of $1500 per applicant.
What is included in the funding?
Items that will be funded include fees for short courses, courses delivered by a Registered Training Organisation or Learn Local, short courses delivered by reputable organisations or conference registration fees.
Limitations
Who can apply?
Applicants must live, work or volunteer in Hume. The scholarship is available year round, or until all scholarship money has been allocated.
The aim of the scholarship is to support residents to create positive environmental change, by providing financial assistance towards environmental education.
What won't be funded?
Things that will not be funded include Tertiary degrees and TAFE courses, travel or accommodation costs, books and materials such as computer equipment or course material.
