Purpose

Non-monetary funding is in-kind contributions available for community and not-for-profit incorporated groups looking for a contribution towards hire fees of council owned facilities (meeting/recreation spaces) and use of equipment.

Overview

This grant can be used for one-off events, or as temporary support for groups facing economic sustainability issues. In this instance work with a City Officer on organisational financial sustainability will be required, as this grant is not intended to be a substitute for financial viability.

Applicants can re-apply for annual events, however, the funds that may be granted will be reduced each year, for up to three years.

Limitations

Eligibility

The following eligibility criteria apply to the Non-monetary stream:

  • Incorporated not-for-profit organisations based in or providing a service within the City of Melville are eligible to apply.

    • be able to demonstrate an on-going program of activity which seeks to engage the City’s residents and ratepayers
    • be unpolitical in nature
    • demonstrate that there is support for the project from the committee - this can be done by attaching meeting minutes/notes, or a group email to your application.
