The program assists eligible organisations and individuals with projects, programs or activities that benefit the residents of the City of Unley.

The Small Sponsorships Program provides small one-off payments to assist eligible groups and organisations in the community.

The Program includes three funding categories: 

1. Quick Response 
2. Community Project/Activity 
3. Representational

QUICK RESPONSE SPONSORSHIP

Applications will be considered for sponsorships of up to $500 per financial year for activities or purposes which clearly demonstrate both: 

• Direct benefit to the residents of the City of Unley; and
• That the request meets a social, cultural, environmental or economic development need of urgency.

COMMUNITY PROJECT/ACTIVITY SPONSORSHIP

Applications will be considered for sponsorships of up to $500 per financial year for projects or activities which clearly demonstrate: 

• Direct benefit to the residents of the City of Unley; and 
• Direct support to a group experiencing disadvantage, or requiring assistance with response and/or recovery; and 
• Contributes to community wellbeing/connection and social sustainability.

REPRESENTATIONAL SPONSORSHIP

This category is open to City of Unley residents who have excelled in their chosen field and have been selected to represent South Australia or Australia in a sporting, science, technology, arts, cultural or recreational event/activity in the following sub categories: 

• Event/activity occurring within South Australia: up to $100 funding per person
• Event/activity occurring Interstate: up to $250 funding per person
• Event/activity occurring Internationally: up to $500 funding per person

Applications will be accepted throughout the year and processed as they are received.

Applications will not be considered where the purpose or activity is deemed to be:

• The funding responsibility of the State or Federal Governments. 
• Primarily associated with and for the benefit of a commercial organisation. 
• Already completed or purchased. Residents/organisations/groups can apply and only one application for sponsorship will be considered per financial year.
