Purpose

The Awards aim to showcase Australia’s inspirational teachers, celebrate their achievements and show appreciation for the important work they do.

Overview

Each year, Australian Schools Plus in partnership with Commonwealth Bank recognise excellent teachers and school leaders who are making a transformative and measurable impact on their students and school communities.

Twelve outstanding teachers will be chosen for a prestigious Teaching Fellowship valued at $20,000, including $10,000 for the awardees school to plan and undertake a high impact school visit program. This will provide in-situ experiential learning at one or more schools/sites and contribute to advancing school improvement and student learning outcomes.

The majority of award recipients will be educators working in schools in communities facing disadvantage.
