Championship grants of up to $10 000 are available for eligible competitions that bring more than 100 competitors and supporters to Tasmania.

Grants are worked out against set criteria and are valued from $3 500 to $10 000. Grants are available to eligible competitions, championships and sporting events that:

• attract more than 100 people from outside Tasmania who stay three nights or more in paid commercial accommodation (hotel, motel, B&B, cabin)
• promote pre- and post-championship holidays and regional touring as a part of their event promotion.

Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia, and must be able to enter into a funding agreement with the Tasmanian Government.

There are no application deadlines for Championship grants, but we do suggest that you lodge your application at least three months prior to commencement of your event
