Overview

Copland Foundation Grants fund projects throughout Australia that fall under the umbrella of Alex Copland's interest, namely:

The study, management, conservation, acquisition, and interpretation of collections.

The Copland Foundation grants are divided into three categories:

  1. Acquisitions
  2. Conservation
  3. Interpretation

This grant listing is about the Conservation and Interpretations categories.

Grants will be awarded for the conservation, research and/or interpretation of historic houses or gardens, or collections and individual pieces already held by an institution. Please note that applications seeking funding for a temporary exhibition/display will be judged based on the perceived long-term benefits to the institution.

The maximum grant available will not normally exceed $50,000, though additional funds may be made available in special circumstances. Applications may be made under the grant program to fully or partly fund an acquisition. All grants are paid exclusive of GST.

Applications close on the 15th November each year.
