Screen Queensland will offer local industry practitioners the opportunity to secure full access to Charlie’s in Los Angeles — a space for Queenslanders to network, brainstorm and connect with international creatives.

Charlie’s provides an intersection point for Australian screen practitioners and the wider international screen industry, creating a softer landing for Australians when they arrive in Los Angeles. The space is also used as a base to meet with Hollywood executives and open doors for further career opportunities.

Located at The Lot in Formosa, the heart of West Hollywood, each successful candidate will receive a hot desk space, as well as support from Screen Queensland and Australians In Film. The space is equipped with writing desks, a writers’ room with whiteboards and screens, TV and Wi-Fi.

Who can apply?

To be eligible, applicants must: 

• be a bona fide Queensland resident, having resided in Queensland for at least the previous six months
• meet Screen Queensland general eligibility requirements as set out in the Terms of Trade.
