Purpose
Youth Advisory Sessions (YAS) are one-hour, one-on-one sessions with a specialist youth consultant.
Overview
Youth Advisory Sessions (YAS) are one-hour, one-on-one sessions with a specialist youth consultant.
The sessions are tailored to meet your needs. They can cover:
- education, training and career advice
- advice on where job opportunities are in your local area
- writing or updating your resume
- preparing for job interviews
- improving your skills and building expertise
- information on, or connection to, other government or community assistance, like mental health organisations
- support to stay motivated in your job search.
Consultants have experience helping young people. They often work in your area, so they know your community and have connections with local employers.
If you're eligible, you can book up to 3 free one-hour sessions.

Cost: There is no cost to the individual
Duration: 1 hour
Points: 20 points per session Learn more about points

Limitations
Eligibility:
To book a session, you must be:
- aged 15 to 24 years
- registered with Workforce Australia Online.
You don't need to receive a Centrelink payment to be eligible.
